Linkin Park fala sobre seu retorno à Dinamarca

Mike and Phoenix talked to GAFFA, a Danish website about their return to Denmark and Skive Festival. They play there tomorrow.

“We’re not exactly Motley Crue,” says Linkin Park’s rapper, guitarist and keyboardist Mike Shinoda. “Our band consists of a bunch of family guys and it’s more likely to go outside and play like a tourist instead of shooting during a tour. I’m 35, so if I drink a lot then I’ll feel like hell the next day.”

“I can’t wait to go out and play our new music,” says bassist, Dave Farrell, reffering to “LIVING THINGS” which will be the band’s 5th studio album and will be released on June 26th. The single “BURN IT DOWN” is already out. “The album is full of energy. We’re so willing to play these songs live. Anyone who has seen us live knows that we love giving our fans what they want, and we enjoy playing our singles.”

“It was the middle of the wilderness,” says Mike Shinoda on Skive Festival, which celebrates its 20th anniversary this year. “But it was so cool. There were lots of inspirational indie bands that we were able to listen to, so it was a good experience. “

This is the fifth time, Linkin Park will play in Denmark. In May 2007 they played the Forum in Copenhagen, and Dave Farrell has not forgotten. The Danish capital is in his top five list of favorite cities in the world.

“I am ecstatic with Denmark and love the bike culture – and that people are so welcoming and friendly,” he says enthusiastically. “Last time we were in Copenhagen, we rented bikes and drove to the beach. It was summer and the weather was great.”
